You will probably have heard the Prime Ministers announcement on the 5th July announcing the possibility of the easing of the current lockdown on the 19th July. There was very little content in the speech about how this would impact Nursing Homes. We are now awaiting official guidance from Public Health England and also our local CCG on what, if anything will change with relation to nursing homes and the visitation rules for relatives/friends.
As soon as we have been informed of any updated guidelines we will of course let the immediate next of kin know.
Therefore at present, we will continue with our current timed visits via a pre-booked slot, together with onsite testing before entry into the building.
